Uriel PC-2D in English

A two-zone controller for ELECTRIC floor heating (electric 판넬 panels or heating film): each side (1난방, 2난방) has its own power and ▲▼, and every hour it runs costs electricity.

What setting should I use?

Heat only the zone you sit or sleep on, at a moderate setting (around 25 on the display), and switch it off when you leave. Two zones on high all day can easily add tens of thousands of won a month.

How do I…?

Turn it on

  1. 1Press 전원 under the zone you want (left = 1난방, right = 2난방).

Heat the room to a set temperature

  1. 1Press ▲ or ▼ under that zone until the display shows the level you want (start around 25).
  2. 2Floor-sensor numbers are not room-air temperature. Adjust by feel after an hour.

Leave for a few days

  1. 1Press 전원 for each zone to switch it off. Electric panels have no water to freeze.

Turn it off

  1. 1Press 전원 under each lit zone until the display and lamp go dark.

What do the words on the screen mean?

1난방 / 2난방Zone 1 / Zone 2Two separate heated floor areas (often two rooms, or half a room each).
lampHeatingPink/red lamp under a display = that zone is switched on.

What trips people up on this model?

  • Electricity, not gas: Korean homes pay a tiered rate (누진제). The price per kWh rises in steps as your monthly use grows, so running floor panels all day can push the whole bill into a higher tier. This unit can switch up to about 2.6 kW, so long sessions quickly push you into the expensive tiers.
  • The two zones are independent: one can be off while the other heats.
  • There is no frost-protection mode. That is fine for the panels, but the room itself will get cold.

Service line (Korean): Not printed on panel.
