Heating on at 60°C while home; timer 3 h when out for the day in winter; hot water H1 or H2.

How do I…?

Turn it on

  1. 1Press 전원 (big round button, top right).

Use floor (ondol) mode

  1. 1Press 난방 (round button). The heating setting blinks.
  2. 2Press ▲ / ▼ to 60 (range 50–80°C).
  3. 3Press 난방 again (or wait 10 s) to save. The 난방 lamp stays on.

Leave for a few days

  1. 1Press 외출. The 외출 lamp lights.
  2. 2The boiler only runs freeze protection. Hot water does not work in this mode.
  3. 3In freezing weather leave a cold/hot tap dripping (manual advice).

Run on a timer

  1. 1With the power on, press 타이머. The hours blink.
  2. 2Press ▲ / ▼ to choose 1–24 hours, then press 타이머 again.
  3. 3The boiler heats 30 minutes per cycle. 1–2 h: heats first; 3–24 h: pauses first.
  4. 4To change the 30-min run time: switch off with 전원, hold 타이머 2 s, press ▲ to cycle 30 → 45 → 60 → 15, press 타이머.

What do the words on the screen mean?

two-digit numberWater tempHeating-water temperature in the pipes, not room temperature.
H1 / H2 / H3Hot water low/mid/highHot-water level 약 / 중 / 강.
E1No waterHeating pipes short of water — check for a water cut, then A/S.
E3OverheatWater not circulating — open floor manifold valves, clean filter (A/S).
E6Gas leakGas leak detected — ventilate, call A/S.
display + 연소 blinkingNo ignitionCheck gas valve is open / gas supply.

What trips people up on this model?

  • Pressing 난방 or 온수 while it's already on turns it OFF.
  • The number is pipe-water temperature; there is no room-air mode.
  • 외출 also stops hot water.
  • Remembers settings after a power cut; timer cycle restarts.
  • Keep the boiler plugged in; it spins its pump ~5 min a day to stop it seizing.
  • No 물보충 lamp: low water shows as error E1. If the 물보충 (water refill) light or code comes on, the boiler is low on heating water and will stop to protect itself. Do not open panels or valves. Message your landlord / building manager first, then call the A/S number. A light that keeps coming back usually means a leak.

It shows an error. Now what?

Codes show on the red display. E1 = no water (check water cut, then A/S); E3 = overheating (open floor manifold valves); E6 = gas leak; blinking display + 연소 = no ignition (open gas valve). Printed A/S: 1577-5161.
