Hanyang’s main gate opens onto Haengdang-dong in Seongdong-gu, with Hanyang Univ. Station (Line 2) right there. The areas students rent in:

• Haengdang-dong — directly south of campus; the standard student-housing area.
• Wangsimni — one stop away, but the bigger draw is the four-line interchange (Lines 2, 5, Bundang, Gyeongui-Jungang) — the widest commute flexibility of any Seoul campus.
• Seongsu — trendy cafes and warehouse conversions, a short walk away; popular with older exchange students.

Wangsimni’s transit-hub status means a wider housing radius is workable — sit 4–5 stops away and the commute is still ~10 minutes.

The roadmap above is the path. The catch: a D-2 visa and the ARC both need proof of address — a signed lease, often a residence confirmation or payment receipt.
