This Week in Seoul: 9–15 November 2026

TL;DR
  • Cold start Monday and Tuesday, then a mild 14–15 °C midweek.
  • Saturday is the wet day: 80% rain, carry a real umbrella.
  • Four-day free festival at Culture Station Seoul 284, Thu–Sun.
  • Seoul-Gyeonggi Dance Festa takes over Namsangol Hanok Village on Sunday, free.
  • National Museum of Korea permanent collection stays free, open to 21:00 Wed and Sat.

This is a two-season week in one. Monday and Tuesday feel properly cold, with a Tuesday morning low of ‑1 °C, then Wednesday through Friday rebound to 14–15 °C under mostly dry skies. Saturday is the catch: an 80% rain chance that will soak any outdoor plan you've made. There is no public holiday. The one thing not to miss is the free four-day 복작복작 오늘전통축제 at Culture Station Seoul 284, running Thursday to Sunday with AI content, media art and live performance under one roof — a rare rainy-Saturday indoor option that also happens to cost nothing.

16 °C swing — Tuesday's ‑1 °C low to Thursday's 15 °C high, inside the same week.

Weekday commute: a merino crewneck over a collared shirt, wool trousers, leather boots, a light wool coat · Weekend outdoors: a light quilted jacket over a hoodie, relaxed jeans, trail sneakers, a beanie in hand · The wet day (Sat): a belted beige trench coat, dark straight jeans, waterproof Chelsea boots, a compact black umbrella held open
Weekday commute · Weekend outdoors · The wet day (Sat) — three ways to dress for this week's forecast.
  • Weekday commute: a proper winter coat Mon–Tue for sub-zero mornings; a lighter jacket is enough Wed–Fri once highs hit 14–15 °C.
  • Weekend outdoors: layer up on Sunday — overcast, 14 °C, and still a 40% rain chance, so bring a packable shell.
  • The wet day: Saturday is the umbrella day. 80% rain, high only 12 °C — waterproof shoes, not sneakers.
