“Happy to leave a review! Being a remote worker who travels a lot, I’ve been constantly searching for short-term apartments in each destinations I’m traveling to. During the past few years I’ve been dealing with several housing service providers, and I gotta say that Shared Homies tops the list for being one of the best housing providers among the world. When I first got in touch with Steve, he arranged a quick call to walk me through the entire rental process and answered whatever questions I may have. During the call he showed me the location on google map as well as a pre-filmed video of him showing the neighborhood, infrastructures etc around the apartment I’m moving in so that I can have a overview of where I’m staying and what to expect. He has been very responsive, and when I had some further requests, he’s always being understanding and willing to help. This time we had made the agreement and due to an unexpected situation, I had to pull out the deal in the last minute. I appreciate that Steve still trying to understand my situation and let me put a stop on the deal :)) I’d def be happy to stay in their apartment next time when I’m staying in Seoul! TLDR: if you’re looking for a reliable and professional housing provider, look no further!! This is one of the best in Seoul!! Go ahead and I’m sure you’re gonna have a stress-free housing experience:)”
“Steve is very responsive and helpful. Probably the best real estate agent I've ever called on. I highly recommend it, and the goods he proposes are of quality and reasonable price.”
“I never had a problem while living in MUAK 4, which is in a lovely apartment in a lovely neighborhood. After six months I am quite sad to leave it. I am very grateful to Shared Homies for providing me an apartment where I could comfortably live, it relieved me of much of the stress of moving abroad! Steve was always very kind and helpful, and I am very happy with my experience renting from Shared Homies.”
“I stayed one of the properties for two months and it was a great experience! The house was fully equipped with all kinds of cooking and cleaning materials, and if anything was missing or broken, Steven took care of it really quickly 👌🏼 great communication, would 100% recommend”
“I stayed for 6 Month at the House Blossom in HBC. The location is really nice, it's very central in Seoul, there are a lot of shops and restaurants around and subway and bus connections are also very convenient. Steve is also a really nice landlord. For example when the shower head was broken and I texted him he directly ordered a new one and it arrived the next day. The Medium-sized room is also very nice. It has everything you need: bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, mirror, etc. The only downside is that the room itself doesn't have an AC and the one in the shared area was not really good. In the end the AC even broke, so there might be a better one now. The shared area is also really nice. It has a small kitchen with everything you need and the bathroom has a big washing mashine and a separated shower/ bathtub. There is also a big spare room with a big drying rack and a lot of space to store luggages or something like that. The only problem is that during the rainy season we noticed some leaks in the spare room and it didn't really got fixed although we reported it. But it was just one the one side so it wasn't really bothering me. In general it was a really nice stay for me. Especially for the price in deposit and monthly rent i couldn't find anything that was as nice as this place. So if i ever come back i would always try to get a room at Shared Homies!”
“I stayed in one of the rooms of shared hoomies for a couple of months and it was a great experience. Steve is kind and tries to make everyone feel comfortable. He’s reliable and If there’s any kind of issue he’ll try to help as quickly as possible. I can recommend to stay in one of his shred houses!”
“My 18 yr old daughter lived in Seoul for 10 months. The initial move there was quite stressful as we looked for apartments. Someone recommended Shared Homies and we got in contact with Steve. From the start to the end of the stay, Steve has been fantastic!! We met several times via zoom and he put my daughter in contact with her potential roommates so that they could have an initial meeting before sharing the apartment. The apartment in Muakjae is great! Big rooms, functional kitchen, a small dining area and a bathroom. Perfect for 2 girls. The area is safe and the people living in the neighbourhood were so kind and friendly to my daughter who initially did not speak any Korean. While the apartment may not be in the centre of Seoul, it is quiet and super close to the subway. There are many supermarkets and cafes nearby and even a gym that my daughter became a member in. We have no regrets getting an apartment from Shared Homies & highly recommend any young student or someone on long term stay in Seoul to contact Steve :)”
“I recommend! I lived with my friends in a shared house for five months during our studies. The apartment was ideally situated in the center of Seoul. I was really satisfied with our apartment and furnitures ! And Steve promptly addressed any questions we had. Steve is a trusted person to find a good accommodation in Seoul. I would strongly recommend staying here!”
“This is an authentic version of living in Korea with good homies overseas offered by a gentle, friendly, and respectful house manager, Stephen. He took a good care of E2E procedure from the first-time interview with the tenants to moveout on the last day, which were all smooth sailing with his kind and agile help even at a late night. It is pretty much cost-saving too compared to Airbnb for over few months, including all the utilities without any stress paying the bills all written in Korean. What’s more is that it provides all the dossier to submit to the immigration authorities in Korea. I used to live in foreign countries alone at a studio, feeling a bit lonely after school. I highly recommend Shared Homies to enjoy cozy vibes with global homies by sharing the living room and kitchen space, talking about life experiences with new cultures together, yet still pursuing privacy in my bedroom. P.s. Extra thanks to Steve for introducing the best flatmates who got to be my bff 👯 up until now…! I miss the time cooking different cuisines from Italy 🇮🇹 and india 🇮🇳 with them..”
“I spent 5 months in a shared house with my friends for our studies. The appartement was well located and Steve was very responsive to our questions! I would recommend :)”
“I spent a year at Shared Homies in Haebangchon and highly recommend it. They offer affordable private rooms with 'All in One' pricing, covering all utilities and services. The Haebangchon neighborhood is vibrant and conveniently located, adding to the overall experience. The houses are well-maintained, and it is a great opportunity to meet people from around the world. Steve ensured a smooth, comfortable stay. It was a wonderful place to call home!”
“I stayed at Muak 3 - Harmony in the medium room for 4 months for an abroad semester at SKKU. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The room itself is incredibly spacious, cozy and beautifully decorated. It has a big window that allows plenty of natural and sunlight to come in which was one of my favorite features. There is also a lot of space to store and hang your clothes/ belongings. Other highlights of the room to mention are the desk that comes with a mirror and the bed that has a lamp and a plug attached to it. The shared space is AMAZING. It is an open space featuring a living room (smart big tv with an L shaped comfy couch that could fit 6 people) and a kitchen (equipped with a stove, oven, rice cooker, fridge and freezer, sink, washer, drying racks, utensils and dishes). Steve, the landlord, is absolutely fantastic. He was always quick to respond to all my questions and is extremely helpful. He helped me order stuff of Coupang (Korean Amazon) multiple times and is a great communicator who never makes anything difficult. The overall location of is convenient and worth it. A 3 minute walk to bus and 15 minute walk to subway. There are two 24/7 convenience stores nearby and a traditional market and grocery stores near the subway station. I highly recommend Muak 3 - Harmony and the medium room for all visitors looking for short- or long-term stay. The spacious, cozy, and beautiful room, combined with the excellent location and the exceptional service provided by Steve, made my stay unforgettable!”
“I really loved living in this place, it's very calm, the landlord it's always nice.”
“It's been an absolute pleasure being a tenant of shared homies. Steve who runs it is a super cool dude who is super accommodating and easy to talk to. It definitely made my stay in Korea a lot better! And I would recommend anybody who is looking for a place to stay during their time in Korea to contact him and shared homies.”
“If you’re looking for a place to stay in Seoul for a while as an exchange student or for other reasons, I would recommend choosing Shared Homies! The apartment I stayed at was located in Itaewon near Noksapyeong Station in a very nice neighborhood with authentic Korean restaurants and tons of great cafes in the area. The landlord, Steve, was absolutely amazing and so quick to respond whenever I reached out to him about anything. Also, you wouldn’t have to worry about whether your roommate will be a good fit for the house, as Steve cares much about finding compatible tenants who get along with each other.”
“Shared Homies has been an amazing experience. The first time I made contact it was super easy sailing from there. Steve was so easy to contact and quick to respond as well. What helped a lot was the lower deposit price and also that the place was already furnished, I didn’t need to worry about so many things. When I moved in, my roommates were just absolutely amazing!! To the point we would go on many book coffee dates and delivery dinners together. The whole experience has been so memorable and it was a hard time saying goodbye.”
“(Translated by Google) An excellent choice for renting a room during your exchange studies in Seoul. The apartments are well-located and well-equipped, and the prices are reasonable for the quality offered. The manager of Shared Homies, Steve, is attentive and very responsive: he was always there whenever I needed help with the apartment! Since I was sharing with two other students, Steve always made sure to choose roommates who got along well, creating a friendly atmosphere throughout the semester.
“English speaking housing service for mid-long term stays in very hip places in Seoul! Haebangchon is a very nice area and Steve is quite fast at replying and helping when it comes to the house 💃🏻 It’s great if you don’t want to stay in a party house with forced proximity yet have true friends as roomies”
“When Airbnb failed us, Shared Homies came to the rescue. Yongsan Gu's prime location and Shared Homies' exceptional service ensured us a delightful stay. Gratitude fills us for the seamless experience and warm hospitality. Thanks to Steve and the Shared Homies team, our time in Seoul is truly memorable.”
“My friend who I share this appartement with found it on Facebook, it's modern and quite spacious for 3 people (we live with another flatmate). We were in an emergency to find a place to stay but the process went very fast and efficiently, thanks to Steve. He is fluent in English and quick to respond to any problem or inquiry we have. It has all the amenities we need, kitchen, big tv, laundry room... I would say it is very western people friendly (we are french). I would recommend using one of these appartements for your stay in Seoul.”
