Daesung Celtic DR-240 expliqué
A simple Daesung wall controller: four round buttons pick the mode and one big centre dial sets the temperature or timer.
À quoi sert chaque bouton ?
- 1Running lamp · 가동 램프gadong raempeuThe small dot next to the drop icon. The manual says a running lamp turns on when the boiler is actually heating.
- 2Display · 표시창pyosichangShows the temperature setting, 'ot' in Away mode, or hours (e.g. 6h) in timer mode.
- 3Power · 전원jeonwonTurns the controller on. Pressing again turns the display off and stops heating and hot water.
- 4Mode lamps · 실온·온돌 램프siron·ondol raempeuTwo small lamps above the button. One lights for room-air (실온) mode, the other for floor (온돌) mode.
- 5Room / Floor heating · 실온·온돌siron·ondolSwitches between room-air mode (set 10–40°C) and floor-water mode (set 50–80°C). Also cancels Away and Hot-water-only.
- 6Hot water only · 온수전용onsu jeonyongHeating off, hot water only. The dial then sets tap-water temperature.
- 7Dial · 다이얼 (−/+)daieolTurn right (+) to raise, left (−) to lower whatever the current mode sets: temperature, hot-water temperature or timer hours. It saves by itself after a moment.
- 8Timer heating · 예약난방yeyak nanbangRepeating timer: heats 20 minutes, pauses 1–6 hours (set with the dial), repeats.
- 9Away · 외출oechulStops heating while you are out. Display shows 'ot'. Press 실온·온돌 to cancel.

Quel réglage choisir ?
Floor mode (온돌) at 60°C while you are home; 예약난방 at 3h when out for the day in winter; hot water 45°C. Daesung's own manual recommends floor mode over room mode because room mode is easily fooled by drafts and ventilation.

- 1Press 실온·온돌 until the display shows a setting between 10 and 40 (room-air mode).
- 2Turn the dial to 22.
- 3Leave it. It saves after a moment and heats whenever the room is below 22°C.
Mode sol (ondol)
- 1Press 실온·온돌 until the display shows a setting between 50 and 80 (floor mode).
- 2Turn the dial to 60.
- 3Leave it. The boiler keeps the floor-pipe water at 60°C.
Partir quelques jours
- 1Press 외출 (bottom right). Its lamp lights and the display shows 'ot'.
- 2When you are back, press 실온·온돌 to return to heating.
Programmer
- 1Press 예약난방 (bottom left). Its lamp lights and the display shows hours, e.g. 3h.
- 2Turn the dial to choose the pause: 1h to 6h.
- 3The boiler heats for 20 minutes, pauses for that many hours, and repeats.
Eau chaude seule (été)
- 1Press 온수전용 (middle right). Its lamp lights.
- 2Heating is now off; hot water still works.
Régler l'eau chaude
- 1Press 온수전용.
- 2Turn the dial: 37–45°C in 1°C steps, 45–60°C in 5°C steps. 45 is comfortable for showers.
- 3Press 실온·온돌 afterwards if you want heating back — 온수전용 keeps heating off.
Éteindre
- 1Press 전원. The display goes dark and heating and hot water stop.

Les pièges de ce modèle
- After using 온수전용 the heating stays OFF until you press 실온·온돌 again.
- To stop heating in room mode, set the dial below the current room temperature.
- DR-240 and DR-240N look identical but use different boiler wiring — they are not interchangeable if you replace one.
- Hidden setting (user blog, not in the manual): hold 예약난방 about 5 s to change the 20-minute timer run time (5–55 min).
- Don't switch off with 전원 in deep winter; use 외출 or the timer. Daesung boilers have built-in freeze protection (pipe water at 7°C or below triggers a run up to 40°C), but only while the boiler is plugged in and the gas valve is open.
