Yonsei’s main gate opens onto Sinchon — the most concentrated student neighborhood in Seoul. Within a 15-minute walk you also reach Sogang University and Ewha Womans University, so the whole Sinchon–Daeheung corridor is one shared student housing market.

• Sinchon — loudest and most convenient: food, study cafes, Line 2. Closest to campus.
• Changcheon-dong — the quieter residential blocks immediately west of campus; most share houses sit here.
• Yeonhui-dong / Hongdae side — a 10–15 min walk or one stop; calmer, leafier, still walkable to class.

Most exchange students prioritise walk-to-class over everything else — Sinchon makes that possible without a long subway commute.
